ABOUT THE BRAND

Mason Pearson, an engineer and inventor during the industrial revolution, worked at the British Steam Brush Works in London and later joined a partnership that was in the business of small brush making, which was done by hand. He used this experience to invent an automatic brush-boring machine that would speed up the process of brush making. The business became a family business, with his wife and later their son taking over the business. The basic product has been mostly unchanged since the 1920s. Their hair brushes are British design icons and the famous orange pad fills with air through the tip of the brush, giving it a luxuriously soft cushion. Longevity of use can be ensured because of the high quality boar bristles. The plastic handle shape was developed from the original wooden models, and it is still hand-finished today to remove any sharp edges.

Due to health & safety standards we cannot accept returns on brushes.
